Who I help
Does this sound like you?
Waking up stiff and sore in the lower back
Sciatica running down the leg
Struggling to bend, lift, sit or climb out of the ute
Hip pain when you walk, sleep or train
Told to “rest and wait” while it gets no better
Already tried physio, massage or injections without lasting change
If that’s you, you’re in the right place. Lower back pain, sciatica and hip pain are what people know me for.
How I work
Assessment first. Hands-on treatment. A clear plan.
Find the cause
I work out what is actually driving the pain before I treat it, using the Specific, General and Global approach: your main concern, the related muscles and joints, and how you move overall.
No gadgets, no gimmicks
Just hands-on bodywork, backed by my training and anatomy knowledge, and by competing in sports massage in Copenhagen in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
A plan, not a program
Many people should expect 2 to 4 visits before meaningful change develops. I don’t promise miracles, and I’ll tell you honestly if you need more.
Understanding your pain
Lower back pain and sciatica: what’s going on?
What they are
Lower back pain is pain, stiffness or tightness in the lower back. Sciatica is pain that travels from the lower back or buttock down the leg, sometimes with tingling or numbness. They often show up together, and hip pain commonly joins them.
Why it happens
Pain is complex, and it’s usually a response to something. Sometimes that’s tissue irritation or injury. Other times it’s influenced by movement habits, workload, stress, sleep or recovery. Most often it comes from everyday causes: heavy physical work, repetitive movement, long periods of sitting, poor recovery or simple fatigue.
Pain is also often felt away from its source. This is called referred pain, and it’s very common in the lower back, hips and legs. That’s why I look at how you move, not just where it hurts.
Why easing the pain isn’t always enough
Reducing pain doesn’t always deal with what’s contributing to it. Lasting improvement usually comes from understanding and addressing the underlying causes, which is why every visit starts with an assessment.
What helps
- Regular movement and exercise
- Strength and mobility work
- Good sleep and recovery
- Avoiding long periods of overload or inactivity
- Understanding how your body moves
Your body is like any piece of machinery. If it’s constantly overloaded, neglected or poorly maintained, problems develop over time. That’s why some clients book a regular Tune-Up.
Some back pain relates to other medical conditions. If something doesn’t look right, I’ll tell you to see your doctor.

Frequently asked questions
How many visits will I need?
Every person is different. It depends on the problem, how long you’ve had it and how you respond. Many people should expect 2 to 4 visits before meaningful change develops. I’ll tell you honestly if you need more, and results can’t be guaranteed.Do I need a referral or a scan?
No referral is needed. If you already have scan results or a diagnosis, bring them or tell me about them. Treatment starts with my own assessment of how you move. Can you help with sciatica?
Sciatica is a common reason people see me. It can have different causes, so assessment matters. New, severe or worsening symptoms may need medical assessment first.I’ve been told I have a disc problem. Can you still treat me?
Many clients arrive with a diagnosis such as a bulging disc. Whether and how I treat depends on my assessment and your medical advice. Tell me what you’ve been told before your visit. What about hip pain?
Hip pain often goes together with lower back and sciatica symptoms, so I assess the whole area. Many people come to me for hip pain, including some who were waiting on a hip replacement. What if physio, injections or other treatments haven’t helped?
Many clients come after trying physio, massage, stretching or injections. Physio can be excellent on its own or alongside bodywork. Every situation is different.Do you offer health fund rebates?
HICAPS is available for eligible claims. Rebates depend on your fund, policy and cover, so check with your fund if you’re unsure. When should I see a doctor first?
See a doctor urgently for significant leg weakness, numbness around the groin or saddle area, or loss of bladder or bowel control with back pain. Also get medical advice for back pain after a fall or accident, or with fever or unexplained weight loss.
